Yes I have the idea tab plus. Purchased last fall $180. Excellent product. Great picture, fast with Netflix etc, basic emails and outlook installed. Highly recommended. Good size too. Decent speakers for my use. Great battery life especially for plane trips. I used a micro SD card.

I got two on sale years ago. I use 24/7 as a security monitor. It's great for that. I tried an ipad but the app put too big of framing around the shrunken video and this is ideal full screen (Lorex classic). I wanted to output to a monitor but the smaller + model could but non+ no. This does need reboot every few weeks and a "hard restart" more buttons holding down sometimes but I'd give it an A+ for the price and being run always years without failure. I keep it plugged in and it auto goes from 40-60% on the battery to keep it in the best health. I do suggest at least 11" or bigger screen my other one is 9"? and it makes more difference than I expected. When this eventually breaks I'll go with a $250 SD with 12.7" screen.

I can only speak for my old Galaxy Tab S7 FE with 4GB of RAM when I say this, but... I've never had any problems based on RAM. I use it for movies and comic book / magazine reader mostly, but also some gaming and web browsing. It's never complained about any game I've thrown at it.

I'd say it depends on what you are going to use it for. High-end gaming? Probably go higher. But this is a $150 tablet, so what do you expect? Basic browsing and movies? You'll probably be fine unless this unit is a lot less optimized than my old Samsung.

Don't buy the 4GB version of this. I had it and returned it. If you're doing anything more than just browsing the web, it's very slow/laggy. Even just watching YouTube as the only app eventually got choppy. Got the 8GB version and love it.

Nowadays DRAM is gold. Don't expect 8GB at this price range.

yeah, you mean like 70% of the population. why is it bad when 70% of the population just checks email, watches TV on netflix and does web surfing ???
