The TOTO Drake is a comfort height, elongated two piece toilet that stands out for strong flushing and easier cleaning. The included seat, wax ring, and supply line make this Costco bundle more complete than comparable offers, and the 1.28 gallon flush is valued for code compliance and lower water use. The CEFIONTECT coating and Tornado Flush are tied to less scrubbing and fewer clogs. The main cautions are the taller seat height, special cleaning requirements, and transit damage reports. A solid fit if those tradeoffs work for your bathroom.

  • The deal can include the seat, wax ring, and supply line that some other listings omit.

  • The Drake's flush design can reduce brushing by circulating water across more bowl surfaces.

  • The Cefiontect coating can reduce cleaning frequency compared with older toilets.

  • Comfort height can make getting up and down easier for everyday use.

  • The toilet's Cefiontect coating can require special cleaning products, and traditional toilet bowl cleaner may not be usable.

  • Transit damage can be a recurring issue, including reports of broken toilets arriving multiple times.

  • The Comfort Height design can feel taller than expected and may bother household members.

  • The Costco version can have a smaller trap size and a handle-down alignment that guests may interpret as broken.

It means it's a totally different toilet with a different flushing mechanism and valve. Toto's toilet is much better and worth the extra money.
I've seen people recommend Toto, and others comment positively about the Kohler toilet at Costco. What's so special about these compared to a $100-200 elongated toilet by Kohler, American Standard, Glacier Bay, etc that have a 4.5* and above rating? I need to buy 3 toilets and have no issue paying extra for something as long as there's some value add, so just wondering what the advantages are.

Also, if it's a matter of decreased clogs, I actually bought two different DeerValley toilets with a 1000-gram rating in another home and haven't had any clog issues with them (I think one clog in 3 years). Is that what I'm supposed to look for to minimize clogs? One of the toilets I got (I think this one https://www.lowes.com/pd/DeerVall...cfVVBcSvCw) has a cyclonic flush that looks similar to the Toto; is that what makes the Toto better than a generic toilet?

Serius question, can someone explain what makes this toilet special to cost $330 vs the HD Glacier Bay 1.28 GPF 2 piece @ $94? They kind of look the same and function the same? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Glaci.../336961024
Haven't had a clog in our Toto toilets since installed. 7 years.

Never use a cracked toilet! If it breaks, it will slice you up.

great deal. I got in the amazon deal last month for $254 but that did not come with seat, wax ring and supply line, so this is about the same.
Plus this is 1.28gpf where the amazon was 1.6. My home is new so if I put anything bigger than 1.28 it's a code violation.

got this deal last christmas, spent my holiday installing 3 toilets. ended up using "Better than Wax" ring from HD for $10 a piece instead of the provided wax. this is "comfort" height so it's taller than my older one, it took a while to get used to but it's okay now. FYI, this doesn't seem to come with the sana-gloss that used to be advertised for Toto so some sh*t still get stuck despite the tornado flush tech.

1.28, forget it. Get a 1.6 and get rid of all of the poo chunks after taco bell.
I have both a 1.28 and a 1.6 gallon toto drake we installed last year with autoflush and I prefer the 1.28 gal because the 1.6 has a different flush mechanism and sometimes it "runs" and ya gotta jiggle the handle for it to stop

Is this worth the price over a $200 American Standard Champion?
