I do like these, but overpriced for our household.
I know the appeal is the protein, because these certainly are not Doritos-level good.
We can get our protein elsewhere, cheaper. My wife, who does not eat meat, got them for us to try out as a healthier snack than Doritos.
I honestly don't know if they can justify their retail pricing based on high costs for formulating them with protein, or if they are simply taking advantage of snackers who rationalize.
To each their own. If you love them, by all means, enjoy the discounted pricing here. Good deal versus their own suggested retail, at least.

Well... a couple of things....
It also has some appeal to those watching carbs. 4g carbs compared to Doritos ~17g? Someone doing low carb can have a couple of these, but they wouldn't touch the Doritos.
That and if you get their Hot & Spicy version, that may have something on the "Flaming Hot" version of what Frito Lay produces.

Certainly, these are good data points. Being diabetic, my wife also likes/needs lower carbs.

Hilarious, literally every company is taking their junk food and putting "protein" on the label, they even have high protein pop tarts... something with no real nutritional value and enough sugar to destroy your macros so you have no calorie reserve to actually use for proper protein.
Don't get me wrong, these are better than regular doritos, but its still chips and not really a health food. You're better off picking up a sweet potato and throwing it in your air fryer and having it with some chicken and low-fat plain yogurt.

There is a protein craze right now, which is important when you're in calorie deficit... but marketing is having a field day and just basically putting protein powder into existing products, because health conscious buyers have by and large stopped buying junk food. Heck, I think they said a quarter of all adults are on weight loss medication now.
But yeah, if you just go pick up some sweet potatoes, $5 costco chicken (throw away the skin, just pull all the meat off and shred it and put it into zip locks), some avocados (not for protein, but healthy fats), some kirkland egg white mix and silicon muffin trays to make some egg white muffins or if lazy get their sous vide premade frozen ones (great in the air fryer), for lazy days trader joes has asian stir fry mixed veggies which are great if you use half the sauce packet and mix in a ton of the costco shredded chicken, and get some kirkland fat free plain yogurt in the big tubs and you can mix in stevia to make it a bit sweeter if you like. For a cheat treat that's not too bad, they have some low fat string cheese that is lower calories. You can load up on various frozen veggies, I like trader joes broccoli and edamame beans (preshelled or whatever you call it), and mix that in to the diet.
Add in Premier Protein 30G shakes from Costco, or even better if you can take two seconds to do it get their gold protein powder and mix your own its slightly lower calorie for a given amount of protein... I use both, as the shakes are super practical, and you basically never feel hungry and can easily hit your macros while in calorie deficit.
Source: I've been doing this for a while, and I went from 305lbs on Feb 18th to 217lbs as of today, still losing on average 2lbs a week, and use AI to create a workout plan for you, I lift heavy 3x per week and cardio 2x (rowing). Still a long ways to go until 180lbs goal @ ~15% body fat @ 6' height should be healthy BMI, but this strategy just works and doesn't break the bank.
And to make sure you get all your vitamins, I recommend picking these up:
Magnesium Glycinate Lysinate
Fish oil (check the back for EPA and DHA to see how pure quality it actually is)
Vitamin D3
Vitamin B12
Creatine

The thing is that stuff you mentioned was made to appeal to people who couldn't care less about their macros.
It's quick, it's easy, it gives the perception of trying to be healthy.
However, I have a feeling the GLP-1 craze will run it's course when people realize they need to take it in perpetuity if they want to keep the weight off and/or still need to be mindful of their diet.
Kind of like traditional working out and/or dieting, where yeah you can get into shape, but it's not permanent without maintaining it.
