This has a "free gift with purchase" ... the 5ah M12 battery. The deal itemizes the prorated items so you can use the hack. Return this battery for $85.

The M12 pruner with battery and charger is usually $250. This hack brings it down to $164.
For comparison, the tool alone is normally $200. So this is less than the tool alone and includes a 2ah battery and charger.

Milwaukee's M12 cordless brushless pruner shears are built for fast, low fatigue trimming of brush, palms, and branches that would otherwise need loppers. The adjustable jaw openings help speed up smaller cuts, and the tool can make quick work up to about thumb width while staying steadier and less tiring than a hacksaw or manual pruners. Thin twigs can still be slower than hand shears, and thicker branches may take two or three bites. The bundle adds a 2Ah battery and charger, which makes the price easier to justify if those are needed.

Common Questions (5)

  • It is decently fast and works especially well on branches that would otherwise need loppers, with some cuts taking 2-3 bites on thicker wood. It is slower than manual shears on very thin branches, but it saves hand fatigue on brush and tree cleanup.

  • It has low vibration, which can feel more secure when trimming from a ladder or holding onto a tree with one hand. It can still take multiple bites on thicker branches, but it is easier on the hand than a vibrating saw.

  • It is better than the earlier tool-only deal if you want the battery and charger, since the kit is only about $14 more than the May 2026 $150 tool-only price. If you need it immediately and only want the pruner, the earlier price was the better value.

  • Yes. The jaws can be set to only half open, and the tool also has two open-width settings that make repeated cuts on small branches faster.

  • Click the "Free Gift with Purchase" section, select the 5Ah battery, and add it to cart. If the page is hard to navigate, opening the deal link and clicking the heading or title text can reveal the free-gift option.

I freaking love mine. The two open width settings make it faster when cutting small branches. You can also close the shears all the way and turn them off to put the cover over them making them safer for storage.

Is this still a good deal if I want to keep the battery?

$85 for the 2ah battery and charger is an ok deal if you need the charger. But you should be able to get the battery for much less than that if you wouldn't otherwise buy the charger.

Edit: Looks like the deal is dead unless you want the battery and charger. The deal where they itemize the battery/charger as a separate item on the receipt is the only way to get the deal with the pruner only.
