FWIW I've been using a GameSir Super Nova as my go-to for PC, Switch, and Android and I'm really enjoying it.

This is a good price on a good controller to use with your phone. It's obviously Bluetooth so it's going to have a little bit more latency than the MFi version, but it hasn't really been noticeable for me. It is true that you can use it as a wired controller with a PC, but I can't imagine why you would want to do that. it seems like they are ergonomics of any regular controller would be substantially better.

Gamesir g8 non plus is wired, and I like mine pretty well. I don't know why someone would want Bluetooth lag in a telescopic design. Just lay your device down in a stand, and use a regular Bluetooth controller.

It's not hard to imagine. You want to use it a place where you can't set the phone down in a stand but you also don't want to mess with case compatibility issues with the wired version. Depending on the game you're playing the Bluetooth latency is negligible.

complete different products.

I own this and the G8, and wish I just got the G8+ the first time. Though have usbC passthrough would be nice, but it just creates more headaches and chances to ruin your usb port.

The G8+ is great, and you can easily mod it to use huge 11" and bigger tablets if you need it to.

Its fine. The controller is stable. Its just a bit wider than a normal controller. Obviously most of the time you use this with a device in the middle. However you can also use it as a detached bluetooth controller. It is great for that with a Switch, phone or 8" tablet. Wired works just fine too.

Several reasons: (1) with recent bluetooth chips there the "lag" isnt really noticeable, (2) you can use it portriat or landscape with a tablet which you cant do with usbc, (3) you can also use it as a wireless controller when you dock your device, and (4) it works with a Nintendo Switch as a great ergonomic controller…joycons are Bluetooth.

If you own any version of Switch 1/2, you should own one of these - one of the greatest controllers for the console, and it makes Cyberpunk far more enjoyable on handheld.

I have the g8 plus. I can say for most games the lag isn't noticable. If i try to play anything fps then yes the lag is then noticeable. I can still run a wire usb-c from the controller to my tablet. But it won't work wired with the phone because theres not enough phone to clamp onto.

It depends on the handheld. It plays fine on my Legion Go 2
