This gravel and mulch binder is best for temporary stabilization of pea gravel, small stones, and light mulch areas, especially around paths, driveways, and small free standing wall blocks. It is described as water permeable and useful for keeping material in place after rain, with a spray, rake, tamp, and respray application. The main limits are that it is not meant for high foot traffic or dirt retaining walls, and it may need reapplication every year or every few years. The promo code worked for some orders, though the app checkout step and Subscribe and Save pricing were inconsistent.

Common Questions (5)

  • It is a temporary binder for small gravel or pea rock, not a permanent fix. It is water permeable, typically lasts about 2-3 years, and may last only 1-2 years in high-traffic areas; mulch use is more of a short-term application for keeping material in place.

  • It can help stabilize pea gravel or small stones in a walking path or driveway, and it is useful for small free-standing wall blocks about 2-3 blocks high. It should not be relied on for dirt-retaining walls or high foot-traffic areas.

  • Yes. The code can price the glue at the coupon rate without Subscribe & Save, and it also works with S&S when applied correctly. In the Amazon app, tapping the arrow in the promo code box before Continue may be necessary for the code to apply.

  • Reported totals include $12.70 after 15% Subscribe & Save, promo code, and tax, $18.62 after tax when S&S savings did not stack, and two bottles for $36 with the code and S&S. The final price depends on whether S&S applies and how Amazon processes the coupon.

  • The discounted Subscribe & Save price can change before shipment, with one order jumping to $50 the day before shipping. The same issue was reported on other subscribed items, so the deal may not stay locked in.

Ok I have some experience with this. This is a TEMPORARY solution. It will mostly hold small gravel rock or pea rock in place well. It is water permeable. It is not designed for high foot traffic area. It does cover a pretty wide area but it is only applied to the top, then raked in, applied a second time, tamped down, then applied a third time. Each time by a sprayer. It will last about 2-3 years, then you will need to reapply. It might last only 1-2 years in a high foot traffic area.

If you want a much more permanent solution look at resin bound stone epoxy. It lasts way more than 10 years, probably 20 plus years. Water permeable. Semi-flexible. Can be weight bearing (not like a wall you ignoramus, but it can be driven upon). Downside is that it is more expensive and it cures fairly fast, meaning you have to do it in small batches. Really only manageable with pea rock.

Haxman on youtube did a great video on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvrZx-o9PSs
I have used it for a firepit area.

Thanks for all of this information. So if I wanted to use it to keep mulch in place for, say, my daughter's graduation party, this would be a good temporary solution? (It tends to float out of the garden when we get too much rain.)

does anyone know what this is made from? Doesn't appear to have California's product cancer warning. Hmmm
Would this be the first product not to have that warning? You stick a warning on everything and then expect people to be concerned.
LMAO

coupon worked but wasn't able to save 5% on S&S. Said it would only apply to future orders. Paid $18.62 after tax.

Since when was this a necessary product? Nobody I know has used it.
If you have pea gravel or small stones in/ around a walking path it's definitely a plus. Too much hastle in my opinion to keep spraying the mulch. I could be wrong though. I was wrong that one time.

This is totally different from the EkoFlo isocynate liquid that I used for my Mexican Pea Gravel patio. The pebbles have to washed and bone dry.

No more savings with S&S. Still a few dollars less than the last gravel glue deal a few weeks ago, so I got 4 bottles. Hoping this works well with lava rocks.

Code & SS worked for me, two for 36$. Figured worth a shot... wish I had considered grabbing on Vine when I saw it pop up. Currently installing Edge Right metal edging and have large river stones, going to remove and put down some pebbles and use this. See how it works.
