If you want a much more permanent solution look at resin bound stone epoxy. It lasts way more than 10 years, probably 20 plus years. Water permeable. Semi-flexible. Can be weight bearing (not like a wall you ignoramus, but it can be driven upon). Downside is that it is more expensive and it cures fairly fast, meaning you have to do it in small batches. Really only manageable with pea rock.
