A set of 3 Harbor Freight Pittsburg torque wrenches in 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" cost about half this price during their sales which happen quite often. Those are also well reviewed by many people including myself as being fairly consistent and accurate, as well as extremely easy to exchange in store if you ever have a problem. I bought 2 of each size from Harbor Freight (6 torque wrenches) for a total of $66 last Black Friday and they all work great.

these are dual direction BUT i don't believe they loosen to torque. sure they loosen but no click they just keep loosening. the manual (all 4 mini pages) even says "only used to tighten"

other than that i do like them and seem to be of decent quality but that was the reason i bought them.

All torque wrenches like this style wear out after a few years, even without use. Do yourself a favor and buy a split beam torque wrench.

I threw my Pittsburg 3/8 away. Was having an issue where it wouldn't click when it hit the specified torque. That resulted in me torquing off a nut in an expensive and annoying place on my core, and cost me enough to immediately regret cheaping out on a Torque wrench. Other people in the reviews mention having this problem as well.

I haven't had trouble like that with my 1/2" Suzume torque wrench in the last 6 months, but I just replaced all my cheap wrenches with a set of Icons while they were on sale this weekend. Saving yourself one farkup can be worth the cost of an entire set or a nice digital one.
