Would be a better deal if bundled with the Energy Connoisseur 5.0 set

7100 was $450 last month and energy take 5.1 bundle is $200 now, in total it's $650.
And now this bundle is $700... scratching my head.. should be priced $600 or come with the $300 Energy Connoisseur 5.0 set for $700.

Better off getting the $199 package and a used $100 receiver.

I think you mean https://slickdeals.net/f/19749972 but none of those orders actually shipped... so using that as comparison, sadly, is not valid

Thanks for letting me know. Still wish NR7100 was bundled with Energy Connoisseur 5.0 or Energy RC 5.0

It was never $450. I had placed that order but they cancelled it due to a "pricing error."

I like the deal except I don't need those speakers. Wish they'd separate at a good price for just the receiver. But for someone who needs a decent set I think this is a good set.

A good strategy by vendors to pair something in very low demand with something that is only slightly more in demand. If I had $700 laying around, I might save that for the RZ30 or as a downpayment towards whatever the 2027 Onkyos will cost.

The fact that there is no Integra equivalent to the RZ30 may be a sign that they finally recognize there are too many clones on the market.

Why pair a 5.1 speaker system with a 9.2 receiver? 🤔

So you can add 4 atmos speakers and make a 5.1.4 system?

Not a good idea. "Atmos" is heavily reliant on the quality of your base layer.

This is a very entry level satellite base layer.
