2-3 weeks ago I stumbled upon a se2 2024 44mm cellular/gps 100$ Walmart. I'm not a watch person but an impulse buy. I still have not opened the box. I only bring this up to make people aware of the deal.

You dońt have to activate the warranty. That is not true. Once you connect the watch to your account it starts the warranty, Another thing is that the time for the warranty have passed and you didńt have extra Apple Care.😊

That's only for recently manufactured ones. For older Apple products, the warranty may already start by Apple itself because it was old stock. Last time, I contacted an Apple agent and updated the warranty date by submitting a receipt and serial number. People can also return the product within the return window if the product is not working.

lol, the same nonsense that a poster said sabout the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini that the battery would be bad and Apple warranty would not be in effect. As one who had the Mini from the deal here a few months ago and just recentely the 12, all are covered by the Apple 1 year warranty and work as new.

Lesson learned! Apple support and customer care used to be so much better.
As another person already replied to you, I also wanted to add that I had trouble charging either the 8 or the 9 out of the box with a charger that didn't come with the device. If you still have the watch, may be worth your time to try a different charger

If you bought with credit card you should utilize the warranty extension that they offer.
