I am a big Anker fan and have no problem paying the "Anker tax". Isn't $30 for a small battery spendy? Is it some sort of solid engineering to put the juice in a small package?

All these types of powerbanks suck the phones get too hot and eventually the powerbank battery will swell and u will throw it out. If u want small stick to a basic pocket one. I use the anker powercore 10000 and powercore select 10000 not the latest with type c but there's no difference since they also output a total of 15w typically the standard ones but there's not many options from reputable brands only anker does mini and good. The 5000 mah means just one lipo cells typically and u won't even get a full charge only about half of that u need 10000 mah minimum to get 1 charge and a half or two. The older anker powercores all use cylindrical cells meaning they won't swell and will last for years and years I have two powercore 26800+ qc hanging out still work perfect!

Like those 5000mah batteries with the male USB-C plug built in. They just work with minimal heat and you can plugged it in a USB-C female outlet to recharge to have it ready whenever you need, no extra USB-C cable needed. Look for one with 20W output or more.
