Ingredients are just Bad!! Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Lecithin from Soybeans (Non-Stick Agent), Phosphated Mono- and Diglycerides, Dimethyl Silicone (for Anti-Foaming)
Should only be one ingredient olive oil!! Not a good buy!!

I Agree. We simply use organic extra virgin olive oil.

I've been happy so far with this alternative (only used for 6 months). This also resolves concerns of using aerosol sprays on non-stick pans. https://a.co/d/05Jylq5c

Olive oil is not non stick. In fact, everything sticks with just OO. PAM has always been great.

Hard pass.
While the label advertises "Extra Virgin Olive Oil," the rest of the ingredient list turns a clean, anti-inflammatory whole food into a heavily processed chemical cocktail.
* Soy Lecithin & Phosphated Diglycerides: These are ultra-processed emulsifiers derived from industrial soybean oil. They are added to force the oil and additives to mix smoothly without clogging the nozzle. Industrial emulsifiers can disrupt the delicate gut lining and promote low-grade systemic inflammation.
* Dimethyl Silicone: This is a synthetic silicone polymer (an anti-foaming agent) added to keep the oil from splattering or foaming when heated. It's essentially liquid plastic added to your food.
* Unlisted Hydrocarbon Propellants: Standard aerosol spray cans like PAM typically use propellant gases—such as butane, isobutane, or propane—to blast the oil through the nozzle. Because these are classified as "processing aids," manufacturers aren't even required to list them on the ingredient panel.
* Damages Non-Stick & Cast Iron Pans: Ironically, lecithin and propellants bake onto cookware at high temperatures, creating a gummy, yellowed residue that ruins non-stick coatings and ruins traditional pan seasoning.
Better Alternatives
* Air-Pump Oil Sprayers (Best Choice): Buy a refillable sprayer (like a Misto or an Evo glass oil sprayer). You fill it with pure, high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil from your bottle, pump it by hand to build air pressure, and spray. Zero additives, zero propellants, 100% pure oil.
* Propellant-Free Compressed Air Sprays: If you want the convenience of a store-bought can, look for brands like Chosen Foods, Pompeian, or Primal Kitchen. Their aerosol cans use an internal bag system powered purely by compressed air, listing just one single ingredient: pure oil (e.g., 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil or 100% Avocado Oil).

If PAM is what takes me out I asked for it then.
