Is it just me, or does this still seem about $30 overpriced. Given how Ridgid treats their warranties, I am beginning to consider them without a warranty.

Wait, what? Isn't one of the benefits of RIDGID their lifetime warranty?

In theory, but (things I, and others, have experienced first hand) they'll screw up your registrations, "lose" tools you have previously registered, incorrectly enter the wrong serial numbers for items, reuse serial numbers on newer tools and dent warranties on your original tool/serial number, etc. Ridgid's warranty is becoming more theoretical by the month. These aren't isolated incidents.

You just reminded me, they've "lost" 25 tools in my dashboard (the entire acct). It's been a month since I've heard anything back from them about why they can't fix the problem.

My friend just tried registering a 6 tool combo with them 5 weeks ago and the LSA is still pending even though it says the turnaround is usually 2 weeks to confirm.

I haven't used the warranty, but recently got a new tool. In my dashboard, I noticed tools from 9 months ago had the 3yr warranty, not LSA. I called them (ugh, that took quite a few calls to get through) and brought that up to them. She updated it to LSA while I was on the phone.

But fingers crossed I don't have issues in the future that are mentioned here and in reviews

Have several Ridgid tools, some over 20 years. As good or better than dewalt, ryobi, craftsman and lifetime batteries replacement worth registering.

FWIW, 4 of my 6 registered tools have a 3 year warranty, despite meeting all requirements for the LSA. Not sure why they only gave me 3 years.

So yeah, the LSA is definitely becoming less of a selling point.
