These are really unique headphones with some pros and cons:

Pros: Battery life is solid. Comfortable for a $100 pair of headphones. And obviously, the bass experience is crazy. I have them at 25% and the bass feels like you are listening to it through a car stereo.

Cons: Sound quality is pretty average at best. Even with the bass turned down low the profile isn't great. My Sony ULTs used to be my "worst" headphone but these are clearly worse. Bass frequency drop off is higher than I'd like. It feels like it is missing umph in the sub 30hz range which my Sony ULTs surprisingly deliver better. The extra bass also can sometimes make songs sound extremely "muddy".

All that being said, the experience is genuinely worth it even with the slight drawbacks. I probably would strongly recommend not just owning these as some genres and use cases are awful on these. Particularly classical music, jazz, music production, etc. BUT If you listen to anything electronic, rap, or even metal music related, I'd give these a go.

Skull, candy, skull crusher… these just don't seem like words I'd want to see associated with anything I'd consider putting on my head.
