Nope. The 55" model only sells at BB right now. $999 has been the lowest so far. Been tracking it. Will be interesting if it gets to $850 on Black Friday.

You must be confusing with previous year's U8. This is a new model, UR8 that appears to be RGB with better specs.

According to Rtings:
Even though it's a year older, the Hisense U8QG is better overall than the Hisense UR8SG. The U8QG displays much deeper blacks thanks to its much higher contrast ratio, and there's less glowing around highlights and subtitles. The U8QG is also better for bright rooms, since it's brighter and has better reflection handling. Colors are also more accurate on the U8QG, motion looks clearer when watching movies and sports, and its wider viewing angle makes it more suitable for wide seating arrangements. The UR8 is more colorful, but whites can be tinted by surrounding colors, which can be distracting.
