That's still more expensive and a MASSIVE card. Those powercolor cards also have a high RMA rate and are over 12" long.

Won't fit every case.

With a few minutes' work you can clock one of these up to very close to 9070 XT performance.

Given the absurd new Nvidia pricing schemes, this is a solid deal. There's no way that AMD's cards retain these prices for long. Get it while you can.

Long over and it doesnt look like its going to drop. 2 years later maybe?
I got my xfx mercury 9070xt for 650 back then so i am pretty happy. Nvidia doesnt seem like they care to announce another card anytime soon and the same with amd.

Walmart had a Gigabyte XT last month for $550. Put it in a Cooler Master Nr200P mini tower ITX case fine. Also have a Powercolor 9070 XT Spectral Red Devil that works just fine overclocks and undervolts in the top 10 percent of cards without much effort. While what you say may be true for some, it won't be the case all the time. This isn't a great deal if last month can bring these under $600 dollars especially for a non-xt.

Yeah, the gigabyte cards are smaller. I was looking at one. Powercolor are huge. Wouldn't fit in my case that needs a sub 300mm card.

With how sluggish sales are I think you could wait for an XT to drop to around this price or even lower if you're lucky. While these things may get more expensive, I think with how ram prices are no one is buying 'enthusiast' level cards because of how expensive system building is atm. The 9070XT prices a lot of budget buyers out. For the price 500-600 dollars I don't think there is a better bang for the buck 4K card out there.
This is coming from a dude who bought a 5080 for $930 Nov. of last year before AI prices pushed them into almost 5090 territory against everyone saying the Supers were coming out in Q2 of this year. Horrible price to performance but I didn't mind at the time nor could I have seen AI prices destroy the GPU market. Also purchased the Powercolor for $650. I was lucky. So it's a gamble to get it now or wait. I would wait. The market seems to be correcting a bit as demand goes down.
