Does not support gigabit... which is expected at this price but wanted to point that out.

"Fast Ethernet" is ironically not fast anymore. Your home internet is likely faster than the 10/100 this switch supports. (1/10th of a Gigabit)

That's wild, didn't know 10/100 was still a thing! Granted, this will run pretty much anything an average person would need it to, it should handle 3-4 4k streams without a problem. If you're looking to move massive files in short time you likely aren't looking at budget switches.

Office or bedroom running a tv, printer, PC, game console? it'd be fine. There's chinese brand gigabit 5 ports for a couple bucks more.

I upgraded my home to 2.5gbe lan switch with a 10gbe for wan and server side, for less than $50 last year

Similar to this but with different uplink port.

I guess it's time to upgrade my token ring network.

I have had this one for 4+ years already. Works like a charm. it is an A+++ gadget as far as I am concerned. It is true - it is NOT gigabit; 100Mbps is more than enough for my youtube, email, programming, gaming etc. If you really need 1Gbps, then @abstractedpudding provided a link to an equally excellent alternative for you...

Interesting, 🤔 I didn't even know they still make something less than 1Gbs these days when we're transitioning to something like 2.5Gbs.

Thank you for mentioning no POE. I was about to buy it to add a couple more security cameras.

At the normal price you should definitely expect it to be gigabit. I have no clue who would buy this. Even at this supposed "sale" price you can find several unmanaged gigabit switches for similar price. TP-Link sells a gigabit model for $3 more. I see a Tenda branded one for $1 more.
