Anyone know if they ever fixed the "sleep of death" issues that plagued these after release? I went through two of them, one self bricked and when the other replacement started doing it I returned it.

I purchasef one from BestBuy a week ago that had an issue with the power button, where it didn't want to start, then if you wait 10-15min it would start.

I exchanged it for a new unit and so far it has been solid but I have until October to return it if it acts up.

I'm a member of BB total tech and all warranty coverage goes through BB,and I trust them a 1000x more than ASUS warranty. So I'm covered for 24 months instead of the ASUS 1 year. So far it's performing well and I don't know what else I can purchase with 64GB of memory for a similar price.

Was considering this as a travel laptop but... "200W AC Adapter"... the adapter will probably weight as much as the laptop lol

This is not 200w AC brick from 10-15 years ago. It's only about 1 lb.

Purchased this about 3 weeks ago. It runs SteamOS flawlessly and fits perfectly alongside the Deck and Steam Machine for my gaming needs. Runs most new games at 60+ fps at 1080 (playing Doom Dark Ages and 007 First Light currently) and AAA stuff from 4 or 5 years ago at 4k 60-120 (Coop Gears 5 as an example). The 180hz screen is great for setting custom VRR to the closest division (45,60,90,120,or 180) to smooth things out. Overall I'm really impressed with this tablet, especially with SteamOS and a Steam Controller. It feels like a next step in portable gaming.

I did have a weird issue where my first install of the os it froze / went in to a weird super delayed boot sequence. Unfortunately this happened while traveling so I couldn't really address it until I returned home. But, a fresh OS install and update seems to have resolved the issue and it's been rock solid for the last few weeks. Even when using the native SteamOS sleep and wake via controller functions.

tremendous gaming platform. maybe the best ever for this form factor actually. i can run any game i throw at it with typically max graphics settings. the only real drawback is amd. some games don't support fsr, some don't support frame gen and some don't support either. it's an nvidia world apparently
