The AD5X stands out as an easy, fast starter printer with automatic color switching and solid out of the box setup. It is praised for quiet operation, quick assembly, good slicer presets, and reliable PLA, PETG, and TPU printing, with auto bed leveling at every start. The multi filament system is the main draw, especially for multicolor jobs or using up low spools automatically. The tradeoff is heavy purge waste, possible color bleed, and some materials needing an enclosure or nozzle swap, making it a strong fit if multicolor matters most.
