Go for it. This one if you want the ability for the printer to switch colors for you or the 5m if you only want one color. Flashforges are simple set up and start printing quick.

Coupon codes only work for new accounts. And, even with VPN and a new browser, AE has gotten a bead on every account and location I've ever tried. It won't even allow me to create a new account. 🙄

Any tips on evading their hyper-focused algorithms?

The coupon should work on most if not all accounts but you may need to have an address added to your account first. You may also need to claim the coupon code from the homepage as well. Other than that I'm not too sure, but I've never had an issue taking advantage of AE's sale of the week coupons.

EDIT: use coupon code USBS40, that's the official weekly sale code for $239+ purchases

The code I have when going to the printer page is USBS40 , not the one in the OP. Plus the $15 for Paypal and cash back.

For $150-ish out the door, the AD5X is a no brainer for a good starter machine to check out 3d printing. Then you can move up to a newer and/or bigger machine later as they are released. As long as you have your Z offset calibrated, a good clean bed and temps set properly, it will be a very reliable machine.

I got one of these a couple weeks back. I'm using PETG filament. New to 3D printing. First time everything printed out fine, but the last 3 times all have failed due to nozzle dragging the parts after printing out for a couple of minutes. I tried changing the Z offset to move up the nozzle and calibrate again. Is this issue because I should be using PLA? I'm using the Flashforge studio app to send prints to the machine. Should I not be doing so because the app is no good for that? What else can I do to fix the issue? Anyone been through this?

How did you get it down to $150-ish? I can't get it out the door for less than $193+tax.

The print is likely warping off the bed which PETG can do. That means the print head catches the top of the model as it moves. Check your bed temps and/or use a brim.
