These have been on sale since at least last week. I'm surprised it's only now getting posted.

Yeah.
(not sarcasm)
I try to watch most sites but for some I just forget about. This is a new product and it's because Amazon had it on sale for $700ish that I looked it up and saw that TCL had it directly for less lol.

Yes. I believe you can also access through the AAA Samsung store for EPP/EDU deals. Reddit uses Thomas Smith and zip code 29414 to access the AAA page.

I received the TCL C2A Pro. So far, it's pretty good. I had to decrease local dimming on HDR mode as apps with a black background dim too much. Nothing that I can't live with though. Big jump up from my old 1440p 144hz VA panels. I got 14 more days to decide whether I'll return them or not. I really enjoy how bright they get; I don't know if I could settle for 250 nit OLED panels...

Is it worth $600?

I think so. There's a 14-day return policy, so you are free to try it and return if you don't like it. It can charge a laptop as well via usb C. I think the dimming algorithms could be better, but I don't think it's bad for the price. To put it into perspective, my qm7k 75-inch tv has the same number of dimming zones as this 27-inch monitor. In theory, the monitor should perform better than the tv. My biggest pro with this monitor is just how bright it gets. Call of Duty looks great. Battlefield really takes advantage of HDR. Friendslop games are vibrant. Could the blacks be blacker? Sure, but i have it on standard dimming. On high dimming, it will get black. I just have too many dark mode apps that suffer a bit with white text. I can live through the "almost black" screens on standard dimming.
