looking at additinal pics(japanese language makes me skeptical about the lens .may be it is japan version lens. nor sure about warranty. but since amazon is authorized dealer of nikon one should be ok
damm that price, i got it for $1100

this lens is most loved lens by nikon geeks and regarded as one of the best

pleae note this make your camera setup very heavy
Nikon will be mad with amazon for selling this low. well nobody can fight amazon now

Probably a price mistake cause Nikon has fixed pricing and it's not this price anywhere else. It's about the right price for a refurb or for the older DSLR version.

This one says "USA model", so you're right, probably a gray market.

once you recieve it , you can alwats send serial number to nikon. they will confirm if it is original. you can send amazon back if grey within 30days

I bought this at Best Buy a week ago for $999. Since the Amazon item is shipped/sold by Amazon, I was able to chat with Best Buy to do a retroactive price adjustment and they credited me $151 (price difference + tax difference)

$800 is the typical refurb deal price. There was that one time where it was cheaper cause they had some 25% discount but don't think we'll see that again.

Nikon is having production issues so the deals are scarce at the moment.
