What the h.e.c.k is this "Haul"? No add-to-cart button and no such buy-it-now feature...no option to get this item for me

It's Amazon's response to Temu.

These bits are garbage, but Amazon haul deals require minimum $25 for free shipping.

I had the opposite experience lol. Picked this up for like $1 from Haul last year and the bits were fantastic. Surprisingly great little kit. Luck of the draw maybe...

It took like 6 weeks to arrive though haha

Edit: lol why downvotes?

Looks like Ali has these for $6.66 with free ship over $10. Order 2 for free ship or 3 and get them for 5.66 with 3 off 15.

I bought 4 of these exact sets as gifts but I never gave them out after testing them first. All the bits are way too small and they wiggle around in the handle so much that the corners of the bits strip when trying to put any amount of torque on the bits when screwing in seemingly light things such as tiny screws on my motherboard or computer case. The btis are also extremely soft so they will round over if you try to tighten anything with even a medium amount of force. Normally I'd rather have a crappy tool than no tool set at all, but these are so bad that you're better off not having this set at all because if you do get it and think it should work on small screws you're going to find that the tips just bend and the shank's 6 edges round over in the handle because the metal they are made of is roughly equal to the hardness of 60/40 solder and that's not an exaggeration. I can bend the tips of the bits by pressing on the side of one wtih a single finger.

Don't do it! This particular set is TERRIBLE. I bought 4 when they were $4 or $5 each to give as gifts and I tested them first and found they don't work at all without stripping or bending because the bits are made of metal that is so soft it can be bent with a single finger which also means they all strip out with even light turning force.

What's a good price on a reputable and quality set that should in theory include all everyday bit types?

I'm in the market and would prefer something from a known brand, over cheap junk. Bonus points if it's lean enough to fit in spaces or has a right/left angle adapters.

The price of "$6.66" should be a warning about these Smilie

The best rate I've seen here in SD is the iFixit set. not sure on what would be good pricing but they're ~$30. There are sets on harbor freight for ~$10 so at least you can return them if you don't like them. I guess you can do the same with the amazon ones. An almost exact set as this post's is on woot for $18

This. Amazon's ridiculously overpriced when you factor in shipping. This set is available cheaper on Ali and I'm sure you could find something similar on Temu for the same or less. That doesn't get close to equalized until their bogus '50% off sales'.

Wouldn't bother me as much, but I'm not paying Ali or Temu a yearly 'free shipping membership'. The way these dirtbags introduced this service and exempted it from Prime means I'm avoiding it like the plague unless a real deal presents itself, which it hardly ever does.

Thanks. I'll go to harbor to see what they have. Now I realized I should add an electric power motor to the list of requirements too, so I don't have to turn it manually.
