These have a magnetic charging port which leaves no opening in the headphone for water to get into. Makes them more waterproof. The USB-C ports require a cover, which is less waterproof and liable to break or be lost.
Now if you don't care about it being waterproof, I agree USB-C is better.
Price is 99.99 but there's also a $30 off coupon in their monthly ad circular. (I don't think you actually need the coupon, especially if buying online.)

Had these and ended up returning them. The newer models all use USB C. This is some other format that matches no other cable I own.

I have these, they're ok for running. Battery life is good, they don't bounce around, and I never have to adjust them or worry about them falling off. Sound quality is not great, but you can hear traffic which may be more important.

Recommend trying the Pro 2's. They're probably twice as good imo.
These like the open shok run 1 use a proprietary magnetic charging cord. I have spent more money on replacement cords than the coast difference of the open shok 2 which uses a universal c charging port.
I had the older Openrun (not SE) with the magnetic charging port and it broke on me. Just stopped charging entirely. I read that it is a known issue.
It was within the 2 year warranty and the claim process was easy. They sent me a totally new pair (though the warranty did not reset). I would buy again, though I would want the USB-C, since I dont swim with mine.

I bought shokz open run 2 pro or whatever for like 100 dollars shipped a year or so ago. I really like them, I use for dog walks and occasional motorcycle riding around neighborhood when dont feel like wearing a helmet on little leisure cruising.
