No. TF/Verizon new policy is after 1yr of active service.
The good news is that this does come with 1yr. So it will unlock.
The bad news is that it will unlock after 1yr, and this already old phone will be even older by then.

I am only giving it a thumbs up because at $40 you get 1yr service and that's decent. You also get a free bonus e-waste phone.

No this deal comes with a yr of service (not a month) if you purchased from Amazon. It's up to you how you use it over the year.
AMZ has been selling the refurbished A16 with a yr of TF service for quite a while.
