Looks like it is $199 for the moment at Microcenter.
Too bad memory prices have not fallen for a new build.
Even the bundles at Microcenter have gotten worse in terms of what motherboard is included or the price versus in May of this year.

Really? I thought the bundles looked really good right now for the 270k or 250k even. $600 for the 270k, 32GBs of Patriot ram and a 275~ dollar Gigabyte Wifi 7 board seems really good for current pricing. Same setup anywhere else would run you 1k. I

I was comparing some of the bundles in May when they had the MSI Z890 Tomahawk as the motherboard, 270K plus for the CPU, and Crucial Pro DDR5-6400 for $600.
Some reviews puts the Tomahawk above the Gigabyte motherboards that were on offer.
I am a little concerned for the Crucial brand memory since they folded and there seems to be some report on Tomshardware of users not being able to get replacements for faulty parts and was being offered refund of original price.
The deal is good considering ram prices will just get worse but I am looking at the motherboards on offer and they seem to be the budget end now versus some mid-tier ones offered earlier.
CPU is $180 with motherboard purchase. I decided to buy this CPU with the Z890 Aorus Master and take advantage of the current deal at Newegg for 64gb of Klevv Bolt V DDR-6000 CL30 for $880 with a 256gb sata drive by Klevv also. Expire 31Aug2026

Oh interesting I had been ignoring Klevv randomly, didn't realize it was a real brand, SK Hynix's house brand basically. Cool, will take a look at that deal thanks.

Yeah, I asked Google Gemini and Claude Opus 4.8 to analyze the Klevv memory and it gave the brand background and how they have access to the SkHynix m-dies and how their memory module timings are better compared to the other 2 big memory maker.
