Thanks, bought one. I had a price alert setup on Amazon. I think this is the version I wanted since it's listed as Beryl 7 AX while all other listings just say Beryl 7

There's no such thing as Beryl 7 AX. It's just Beryl 7. I think it's a mistake. The Beryl 7 has WiFi 7 BE while the previous version is the Beryl AX and that only has WiFi 6 AX.

Yes, I messed up the title. But you're right, both are referring to the same router.

Any risk of this thing being a counterfeit? Is that even a thing? Ignorant on buying from Aliexpress. I do see this ships from the US, so that makes me feel a bit better.

Well, if it runs the gl.inet firmware and ram size matches.. guess it's close enough?

Tempted. I had a Slate AR750 running WiFi5 (old and has 5ghz and no 6Ghz), then I got a Beryl 6… and a Beryl 7 sounds great.

I use Beryl6 now for travel. My old Slate acts as USB bridge as secondary ISP on my Unifi CLOUD gateway. I plug in my spare $180 Mint wireless phone and tether hotspot as failover.

No 6ghz. Cheapest gigabit wireguard router from their line up. In for one. Will be used as VPN at the house, actually have symmetric gigabit.
Confused why anyone would need a 130$ gigabit travel router vs a 30$ Opal that can do at least 50mbps wireguard.
Do people stay in hotels with gigabit internet ? Do these exist?
Perhaps it is the color Smilie
