Really unnecessary that this is even an option or a thought a developer had to throw into a strategy game.

Also, the game is one where you choose your gender and all interactions occur regardless of the gender of the character. So, not even sure why it would bother you if it was in there, as it could have just as easily been written for the female character (if it did exist). I mean, in a game where you choose the gender of your character, the developers would literally have to write in "no h0m0" code. But again, it is irrelevant because there are zero romances between your character and the others.
The only "romantic" bit is a side item about blade having a crush on captain marvel.
