You're better off just going with a standard 2280 and not trying to be fancy.
The PLP works very well.
So no experience with this particular model but as far as the brand goes, I've only had good experiences with the products.
I haven't needed support so not sure how that is but another comment mentioned that they provided updated firmware for them so that's a positive sign.
