Currently in line only about 12 people total with store due to open in -30 mins. Got here an hour before opening and surprised but happy there weren't more people waiting. Most are here for Pokémon, so I'm optimistic I'll be able to grab the gift card being #8 in line.

keep in mind you can't buy other gift cards with gift cards - apple cards, nintendo or steam codes, etc. cannot be paid for with best buy gift cards.

Sure, if there is a TV or pc part or video game system or whatever you know you are gonna buy in the fall its worth it. If you know you are gonna buy physical GTA 6 for $80 thats a great deal. But if you have no idea what you are gonna spend $100 at best buy, and you haven't shopped there in years, all you really are doing is giving them $60 now and they hope you forget about the gift card lol

I stopped in about 15 minutes after the store opened and there were ~100 people in line inside the store. Didn't bother to stick around to see how many gift cards were available.

Got the gift card but they gave only 1 per family. I was there with my family member but they didn't gave another even after requesting. They were hard selling their plus membership and the credit card. They even offered me another gift card if i got both the membership and cc. In short this was also a membership sale

Here at my place if you arrive 30mins before opening, you can buy one and go back to the end of the line and buy another one...

Was maybe 30th or 40th in line before the store opened - they were gone before I even managed to get into the store, so if there were 50, I think some employees or their friends or families got their hands on them first.
