I don't see why everyone hates AI.

Personally, I don't mind paying 4x for RAM, 3x for hard drives or my electric bill going up 30%; millionaires are not going to become billionaires without your help.

Universities have data classification policies and protocols. Students do not have access to anything that would be considered critical or confidential data.

I have to say...I get a kick out of my students coming back perplexed as to how they failed my class, not realizing that I set things up in a certain way so that anyone who used AI has no chance of passing. =)

Failing students because of your personal opinion on AI is both petty and lame. There are many ways a student can use AI that doesn't automatically mean the AI did the actual work for them. You might as well fail students for using wikipedia or even the internet at all. If they didn't go to a physical library and read the actual books, they fail.

Also, what do you people actually think will happen? That your personal disdain for AI, or punishing anyone who uses it, is going to make it go away? Because that's certainly something that has historically happened with new technology. /eyeroll
