Switch 1 games run on Switch 2. A lot of great games on Switch 2 at the moment. Fantastic time to buy.

This trade in deal mainly turns a Switch OLED or original Switch into a cheaper Switch 2, with the strongest appeal being the high trade value and easy in store pickup when the promo is recognized. The Switch 2 adds 1080p, HDR, VRR, faster loads, and smoother gameplay, while still playing Switch 1 games. The main knocks are the LCD screen, which can look washed out or smeary next to OLED, and the shorter battery life. Trade in rules and store handling vary, so accessories, model selection, and promo application can affect the final total.
The trade-in promotion can work smoothly when the store applies the $75 bonus and $130 trade-in value correctly.
The deal can support quick in-store setup by letting digital games download again after signing into the same Nintendo account.
The Switch 2 upgrade can deliver smoother gameplay and faster loading times compared with Switch OLED.
The Switch 2 screen can look vibrant for high-contrast or dark games like Ori.
The $75 extra credit can be confusing or fail to apply for certain SKUs, including special editions like Splatoon OLED.
Switch 2 screen response times can be miserable, especially for people comparing against OLED displays.
Switch 2 visuals can look washed out, and some players report missing more game details than on Switch OLED.
Trade-in outcomes can drop if required accessories are missing, including controllers or the power cable.

Fire Emblem is on cart but key carts are just gonna be a part of life now. Not only are games exceeding 64 GB (so they would be insanely expensive to produce) with the graphics bump but cartridges just aren't fast enough to play the games on the switch (which is why they had to move to a faster SD card slot). Nintendo works hard to keep their first and second party games on cart but there are drawbacks.

I live in a city of only 50k that has a best buy, so I may actually have a shot at that. Just bring my switch 2 and play games for a couple hours. It seems every store has at least 50 gift cards.

When the gift card says one per person if I come with my teenage kids I wonder if that counts.
$250 & $50 for a total of $30 off. Paid the rest on credit card
