Now is the time to trade up if you were planning to get the switch 2 anyway. It still plays all the switch 1 games. Prices go up in September.

I did this deal yesterday at my local Best Buy in Yorba Linda, CA Best Buy. I purchased online for pickup. It was ready within an hour, i brought my grey Switch 1 with power cable, dock and straps. I completed the trade in and the only thing they required was the console w/joycons and the power cable. He let me keep the docs and straps. They said they just recycled the other parts. I also had the same issue as the other poster about the rep saying I only get $75 back, i showed the receipt, the manager came and showed me the screen that it does shows $75 trade in and $75 for trade in promo with Switch 2 purchase. He said the $150 will be refunded back to my credit card within 48 hours. Process was easy, the only quality check they did was they made sure it turned on and that iis it.

I would trade my 7 hacked OLED switches or led v2 that have been modded with atmosphere if the switch 2 was hackable..until then my switch OLED is awesome for emulation and gaming

Agree. While OLED in general is better the larger screen and higher resolution bring it fairly close to the OLED for good gameplay. Not taking a magnifying glass to the screen or anything like that. If you're playing a game and having a good time don't worry about it.

I traded in my daughters OLED with a crack on one of the controllers and they took it without issue. I will say I did this in store a couple of days ago and it took over an hour. Apparently they received an alert about the extra credit but nothing with the code printed out. They said it has to be done online. Not sure if that is right but they ended up just taking it off manually.
