I went to bestbuy this morning with my v1 switch (HAC-001). They checked the system and the accessories and were able to take it without checking the model number. They said I will receive the $150 credit back on my payment. Good luck!

I asked because I'm looking to trade in an OLED model but with grey joycons, vs the red/blue ones that originally came with that model.
Do the store pick up if possible because they will be able to check your system and then offer you the credit on the spot.
If you do the shipping, you will have to ship your old console back and then wait for another 2 weeks to get the credit back.
I just turned mine in and also took the dock since I don't need it anymore.
