I'd recommend the 40V Ryobi chainsaw models more than this one. Anything 18V is going to stall when going through hardwood.

seems like it would be handy around the yard. I hate firing up the gas chainsaw for small branches. I usually use my reciprocating saw for the small stuff but this seems like it would be easier

I had a 20V DeWalt that couldn't keep up with the 40V Ryobi. My 40V Ryobi 16" I got for $130 on BF from DTO. I'd hold out, unless you absolutely need a saw. I cut lengthwise through a 10"x5' log with mine.

Foresty Forest built a small log cabin with his, no screws. It's a fun watch, mostly no words. I watch it like once a year as incentive to build, because it's a nice, calming video.
