Community Reviews
The Fairphone Gen 6+ stands out as a repairable, sustainability focused smartphone with expandable storage, a user replaceable battery, and inexpensive spare parts that make long term ownership easier. The modular design and five year warranty add to the appeal, especially for light everyday use, talk, text, and other non gaming tasks. The main knocks are the midrange Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 4400 mAh battery, and several spec limits like USB 2.0, 4K video at 30 fps, and no telephoto lens. US compatibility is also a concern, especially missing Band 14 and possible carrier feature gaps, so it fits best if repairability matters more than flagship specs.
People who keep phones for years, because the removable battery and affordable parts make long-term ownership cheaper.
Repair-minded buyers who want to swap batteries and storage themselves, because the modular design supports quick part replacement.
Light phone users who mainly talk and text, because the moderate performance is enough and the phone is not aimed at intense gaming.
Owners who want a lower-waste phone, because replaceable batteries and parts reduce e-waste and extend device life.
Buyers expecting flagship hardware for the price, because the chipset, battery size, and overall specs are described as mid-range for $650.
Mobile gamers who want demanding Android performance, because the processor is only moderate and probably not suitable for intense gaming.
AT&T and AT&T-based MVNO customers, because the phone lacks Band 14 and RCS messaging support.
Video shooters who want higher-end camera features, because 4K recording is limited to 30 fps and there is no telephoto lens.
