For a simple dual purpose mini (tiny) vacuum and air duster it's pretty solid. How long are people using these to get hot? I use mine every other day to clean up loose coffee grounds, probably no more than 10 to 15 seconds at time. I assume it would provide a drag on the motor in vacuum mode since it's trying to pull air with the filter in the way, but I haven't noticed heat.
OK I just received mine and used it to vacuum all the dust out of my mesh office chair seat (below the mesh and on top of the frame) as well as the headrest/neckrest. I was pulsing it on and off over the span of about 2 minutes total, with a total on time of around 70-80 seconds and it got moderately warm. If I kept it on nonstop for 2 minutes straight I think it would get very warm, and if I kept it on for 3 minutes straight I think it would get hot. It has decent suction power to suck up loose dust that was within 1/2" to 3/4" in front of and to the sides of the nozzle opening so I got most of the dust out of the areas between all the strengthening ribs of the chair frame even though I couldn't get the nozzle between all the ribs. If the dust was on anything other than smooth flat metal I don't think this would have enough suction power to dislodge that dust, so this works well enough, it just isn't super powerful, but no one should expect it to be at this price point because that wouldn't be realistic.

I have the air duster only version of this, and it works great.

Got two during last sale. I use it every other day, It's excellent. Perfect for cleaning up top of engine before exposing any passages for debris to fall into. Many other uses around the shop. Tempted to buy more to put into every vehicle.

I got this a little bit more than a month ago for same price with original post. So far so good, I like dual function: vacuum and air duster, I also got recently Wolfbox MF100 from Ebay for about double the price of this with another Slickdeals post, so far this one is the most used because of vacuum function, small, easy to use, powerful enough for small/quick jobs instead of taking out a bigger battery powered vacuum like Dyson or Dewalt. It is just convenient. Of course, it is not as powerful as MF100, but it is also half the price and dual function. It is too early to tell how well it will do in the long term, but so far very happy with it.
My impression is that the battery lasts a little bit longer on this one compared to MF100, probably because is not as powerful, but true that I have not done a real test by having them side by side to have an objective comparison.

I do not know about how many of the comments above are fake, but some of previous posts helped me to take a decision.
Do not know if this post will change your mind or not but hopefully/eventually maybe will help someone.

Not a great business practice to put SCAM in all caps in your product name.

Hah, I love my Junior Varsity Scam! But it doesn't have the vacuum attachment and this looks like it exactly, just running backwards to behave as a vacuum 😆

I paid $20 for mine thanks to SD without the vacuum attachment... I don't think I'd ever use the vacuum attachment. Now they're adding too many things making this simple device more complicated

They're probably using it too long. It's meant for what you describe: quick, tiny messes

I bought the other JVSCAM model that was on previous sales and have been very happy with it (performance / battery life / etc) ; used for higher end pc's on water with multip[le rad's (workss GREAT on clearing out dust on thick rad's) , cleaning of vintage audio , etc ..). Previous model onsale was this one at $20 : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQNMJ...in_title_6

I dont think I'd have a problem grabbing this posted deal model/version if I needed another (imo) .

BTW , I recommend getting this case to store it in ... this too works great and they are pretty darn heavy duty cases . Worth the investment of a mear $12 or so !

Uh, you're wrong, on both counts. It's not junk and definitely not paid to comment on anything.

Nope, it's junk. The 2 lowest settings are no stronger than a breath. The highest setting overheats the unit. It's not a good product.

Nope, I've used it a lot with zero overheating. It's made for small pickups and has plenty of suction those tasks, so we'll have to agree to disagree on the quality and effectiveness. If you can give a link to anything just as compact but better, and just as inexpensive, please do. This blower/vacuum is the same blower that many people love as a Wolfbox knockoff. Same basic design, the only difference is this one lets you attach something to the intake and vacuum.

There's literally nothing complicated about adding a vacuum attachment to a simple device like this one.
