This propane torch is best for fast outdoor fire starting, weed burning, and quick searing jobs. It lights charcoal, fire pits, fireplaces, bonfires, and cobwebs easily, and the one touch max fire mode delivers a huge flame with plenty of wow factor. That same power makes it too aggressive for delicate cooking like crème brûlée, and the torch needs a propane tank because it does not come with one. Reliability concerns also come up, including weak igniters, tricky ignition, leaks, and a few breakage reports.
The torch can quickly start a bonfire and light charcoal or a fire pit while camping.
The one-touch max fire mode creates a strong wow factor for outdoor lighting tasks.
The torch can help with driveway weed removal when used with appropriate safety precautions.
The torch can be made more manageable by avoiding max power and using the screw knob gas valve.
The igniter can fail or be difficult to use, including cases where it will not work at all.
The max fire mode can be too powerful for cooking tasks like crème brûlée.
The torch can develop serious reliability issues such as valves that won't close or propane leaks.
The torch does not include a propane tank, so additional hardware is required.

Anyway, you might want to get one of the torches with a longer handle. I use mine for clearing weeds. This torch may have you stooping over while working on your driveway.
