I rank Optimum Nutrition higher than the Costco Orgain Creatine, by about 10% better? this S&S price is dead even with Costco's Orgain brand 1.48lb for $15 on seasonal discount.

What makes the ON 10% better than Costco's Orgain? I just got some but haven't opened yet.

I'm currently using this stuff in capsule form. Can someone tell me, is this stuff truly invisible to mix? So it doesn't turn the drink thicker or introduce any flavor?

It doesn't thicken it or alter the taste much, but I still know it's there if it's in a plain glass of water. Still worth it though

I'm using this now. It's flavorless but it still leaves a little grit behind I find that it doesn't dissolve as well as some other brands but it's inexpensive so I'm buying more. This is a reputable company and if you're mixing it in a smoothie it's good. If you just mix it with water/flavoring you'll know it's there but for the price I'm still a buyer

MuscleTech Platinum Pure (HPLC tested)

  • HPLC verification means impurity detection is more precise and specific
  • However, it is not Informed Sport or NSF Certified for Sport certified (banned substance testing)
Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine (this one)
  • Informed Choice + NSF Certified for Sport certified — rigorously tested for 280+ banned substances
  • Internal testing per FDA cGMP regulations
  • Purity is tested but not specifically advertised as HPLC-verified on the label
If you want even more pure, Creapure is 99.99%

Only difference is 3rd party testing/certification.

From google: Orgain and Optimum Nutrition (ON) take very different approaches to their third-party testing and verification. While both are highly reputable, Optimum Nutrition focuses heavily on high-purity athletic standards, whereas Orgain focuses heavily on clean-label, plant-based, and dietary restriction verifications.

How is it 10% cheaper? They both come out to be ~$0.63 per oz.
