it's there to indicate a # of things:

That shipping is either extra or not available, that you've met the minimum or there is no minimum for free pick up (ie like Walgreens). While it may seem 'obvious' , there is some logic to putting it there.

It should be, but it isn't. :/ Sam's Club started charging for pickup a few years and only recently paused it. Uline charges for pickup. Acure Parts for Less does also. Companies milking us for every penny they can.

Dang that is insane and so weird to charge people for.. maybe we are paying for a spot for our items to be on their floor while they wait for us to come get it. Weird
