Is this a good deal. What are some of the notable games you can play that would normally cost more than the membership if you had to buy ?

Great deal. Can stack with $10 paze discount and get multiple years for $10 each (coupon can only be redeemed once unless you have different newegg accounts)

It says something on the Newegg site under the Paze terms and conditions that digital codes don't qualify for the $10 promo. Maybe I'm misreading it.

I think none. This lets you play games online, and gives you access to NES and SNES emulated games. You also get access to a couple online only older games like f-zero. And also allows you to buy exclusive controllers like the wirelesd GameCube controller. That's about it.

That might be what the terms say, but when you check out it allows you to use paze, and it shows the $10 off $10 purchase promo when you check out. So these should go through. Someone posted about this a couple days ago for the family version of this product, and it worked for them as well.

I think these digital subscriptions are not the same as digital download codes for games, which are exempt.

Is it not cheaper to just get two $10 gift cards at amazon for $8.53 each and use it for NSO membership?

Yes. By $1. But with the Paze promo, it's only $9.99.

FYI this is the basic online and is not the + expansion pack that allows the access of virtual consoles like nes, Super nes, GameCube, etc. That is $49.99.
