I wonder which Chinese company makes these for Klein to add their label and raise the price? 2 year warranty but "Does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, accidental drops, or altered/misused units". In other words, if it stops working after you have used it, there is no warranty.

I was just thinking about this. Love to buy usa made Klein hand tools but I expect electronics to be cheap Chinese made stuff so why not buy a cheap brand off Amazon like APOWERU, or FUNTOWON, TOOOOL

Klein makes very good hand tools in their US plants. The stuff that they re-label and re-price - which is now much of what they sell - primarily comes from low wage areas like China, Taiwan, and Eastern Europe. This buy-and-rebrand gear is decidedly not of the same quality as their US made product. It is also not the product lines that created their brand reputation. No professional is going to buy a $30 IR thermometer.
The third generation Klein family ownership has significantly diluted, and damaged, the brand to juice sales. Perhaps they are hoping for a buyout from someone? The Klein-to-tools brand is becoming like the Smith and Wesson-to-knives brand: cheap junk.
