FYI - I checked the price history at HD. Never sold for above $59 since it launched in May 2024. Discount is totally misleading.

Ryobi used to make a cordless 18V drill with a 3/8" Jacobs chuck and in the back of the chuck was a hex bit holder. I thought that was a good idea but they didn't sell them for very long.

I mean, drivers have always been a thing separate from drills...?

FWIW, I find it often useful to have second "drill" when I'm doing stuff around the house or outside—one to make a hole or with one drill/driver bit, one with another bit. If you're invested in Ryobi, it would seem like a no-brainer.
