That 10k rating is garbage, you'll be soaking wet after a few snowdrops melt on your jacket. Places that have warmer weather and produce wetter snow need good gear like Gore-Tex or equivalent to effectively keep you and your clothes dry.
I know stuff like ArcTeryx and NF and Fjallråven might be eye watering expensive (I can't afford new, no way lmao) but quality is quality.
