The trick with GCs on Uber Eats is you can go and change prior orders for up to 30 days. So you buy the discount GCs, add to your wallet, then go back and change a bunch of prior orders payment methods through the help system (don't need to contact support), and that makes the system refund your money on the original payment method and replace with the GCs. Then you never pay the premium for having a GC. I wonder if DoorDash also does the premium nonsense where they spike prices on everything if you have a GC. Will need to test as I am moving back to them because in my area Uber Eats has steadily raised prices and is now consistently 10-20% higher than DoorDash.

Regional based. Uber eats was the cheapest around here for a long long time, but the past 18 months they have just steadily raised prices on us. Priority delivery (you know, get your food hot) is now 4.99 here, delivery fees are often 5-10 even with the membership, and then they are charging a premium on the food prices on a lot of places as well. Lately Doordash has been 10-20% cheaper consistently. 3-4 years ago they were consistently 10-20% more expensive.
