Nice price. Was looking at this during Christmas time and it was really expensive. Hopefully this will prevent outlet tripping this year.

There are tons of others for better prices with multi packs, including packs of 2. I'll skip.

For what it's worth, when I put up Christmas lights each year, I wrap all my male-female plug connections with standard black electrical tape, and it serves the same purpose. Haven't had a water-related short since. For the price of one of these safety covers, I can take care of all my outdoor lights and decorations.

An IP44 rating means an electronic device is protected against solid objects larger than 1 mm (like wires or large ants) and splashing water from any direction. It is splash-proof, not fully waterproof, and works best indoors or in sheltered outdoor areas.
Fyi, guaranteed short if it fills up with water or is submerged during rain.

Mine didn't even submerge and it was full of water and tripped GFCI. Useless garbage, had better luck with plugs just exposed to the elements.

True. IP68 is the waterproof rating

I had a similar one to this, it's not great with the rain. I replaced it with a tight wrapped bag sandwiched between two little sandbags and haven't had a problem since. My use case is temporary of course.
