I'm pretty sure I don't need this. My balls don't have joints. And, even if they did, I wouldn't want to separate them.

One of those things that unless you're a mechanic by trade you won't need it until you really need it. Anyone know if car part places just rent these for free?

Once you get older them joints are going to start acting up and like yard dogs....you'll want to keep them separated.

A lot of times, this will destroy the boot, so be careful. If your replacing it, it doesn't really matter.

And if you were a mechanic by trade you'd know a sledgehammer to the spindle is better at breaking the tapered joints free in most cases
