Have this in the Summer Sweetness color. Loved my other Owalas but love this one even more for the lock on the flip lid (especially with a toddler that loves to play with it). Also, I recommend the third-party stainless steels straws for this

I have one of these and I have the older model that isn't thinner at the bottom so it doesn't fit in a cup holder. This one definitely does not keep drinks cold as long as the old version. Probably because of the design of the top. Filling a 40oz to the top with ice and then adding water, the old style will stay cold at least a day longer.

I got this last time it was on sale at $36 a few weeks ago - big fan, the straw works very well. I basically never chug from it because of how much I like the straw. It seems to keep drinks cold for a long time but I haven't done a real test to see how long thats true.

Cleaning also seems fairly easy as long as you have one of those straw cleaner tools.

My wife and 3 kids each have one. Fits in cup holders, easy to clean. I would recommend buying a silicone bottom cap to prevent major dings. The button to open the spout is really sensitive so make sure to lock it

My experience with the freesip sway version is hit or miss for keeping cold. I have one (all white) that insulates well as expected. Another I returned to Amazon (all blue) because it was visibly sweating and didn't keep cold. Amazon replaced it with one that is better in that it doesn't sweat but the outside is noticeably cold to the touch and doesn't perform well. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the overall quality of the product.

I got an owala recently and love it. I really wish they made more normal colors. I want to pick up a few more. It's always the funky colors on sale, so they must not sell as well. I'm a blue collar guy and I'm getting abused for my fruity cup

I recently found a similar Owala bottle with a straw on sale at HomeGoods. Looked it up on Amazon, and there were numerous complaints about mold building up inside the lid because, apparently, the piece you're supposed to disassemble for deep cleaning is really difficult to remove. Funny enough, I then noticed that the sticker on the bottle acknowledged that the lid may be difficult to disassemble. Does this one have the same issue?

I agree about the silicone boot. Dropped my 30oz sway one time and sustained more damage than my simple modern 32 oz summit sustained over multiple years. Bought a silicone boot and now I really love using the sway because the whole experience is more comfortable and I worry less about damaging the Owala or damaging surfaces.
I wish the Owala were more resistant to damage. Also wish it kept cold better. But, the easy cleaning and the free sip design and the convenient handle have won me over. I've never been a fan of straws with water bottles, but because this one is so easy to use and easy to clean, it won me over even though I didn't expect it to.
Also agree with the comment about getting a stainless straw. it just feels better that way, to me.
