Oof. I may have actually pulled the trigger on this but I need another deal with dual, larger capacity batteries. For a smaller yard, rotating 2.0Ah batteries in the mower isn't bad but trying to use the blower with those batteries would be a nightmare. It would burn through them in no time and you usually need that blower right after you have mowed which means you are probably not starting with two fully charged batts. Sounds nice in theory but without at least one more battery that is 2.5Ah (MINIMUM), these deals are always just confusing to me

I feel like that's the entire point sometimes. The real problem is the razor-and-blades model where the initial purchase of the equipment is your one chance to choose the batteries you will be stuck with.

Keep in mind this is 80v. So it's comparable to a 2.5ah battery on a 60v

Lol that's not how that works but thank you. I've had a pretty good variety of 80V and 40V Greenworks and Kobalt tools for years now (same parent company so the batteries can be customized to fit each other). I have become very accustomed to the positives and negatives of battery powered tools compared to the all of the many gas powered lawn tools I used for years before that. My comment was coming from a point of direct experience with the different capabilities this particular bundle can offer based on the battery capabilities and their limitations in an attempt to help others make a better informed decision.

Mowers especially self propelled need an 8ah battery for maximum power and longevity. The 4ah supplied here is fine for the blower, but inadequate for the mower. Still a good deal overall though

You are talking about the deal that was mentioned as available at time of posting but OP noted that there were only 3 listed as being left in-stock.
This posted deal is for a manual-push mower/leaf blower combo that comes with (2) 2.0Ah batteries.

A single 4Ah battery is not even close to enough for a blower if you are using the mower before. If you are trying to only blow your medium-to-large yard, one single 4Ah battery is still not adequate

It is how it works. 60*2.5=150 watt hours, 80*2=160 watt hours.

Except that doesn't tell the whole story. They are close in Wh, sure but the 80V will always be able to handle the heavier loads put on the battery cells. Compared to a 80V 2.0Ah battery, the 60V runs cooler, weighs less, and possibly a tiny bit longer but also won't have the same heavy load capability as the 80V.
In other words, there is a reason both voltage platforms exist. The other Slickdealer jumping in to the comments to tell people to, "keep in mind", that a 80V 2.0Ah is comparable to a 2.5Ah 60V is totally out of left field and the Wh calculations offer a puzzle piece but not the entire picture. Rather they are an oversimplification of two items that are being compared for no reason at all as this deal is only for 80V tools. Why I was told to, "keep in mind" an oversimplified comparison to a totally different voltage that isn't even mentioned is beyond me.

Those 2mah batteries suck, mine dies before I can finish my tiny front yard.. about 12minutes.
