"genuine leather" is low quality. if it really is even that.



Full-Grain: This is the outer layer of the hide. It is the strongest, most durable, and most expensive option.
Top-Grain: This is the outer layer with imperfections sanded off. It is smooth and durable, but ranks below full-grain.
Genuine Leather (Split-Grain): This is the lower layer left behind after the top grain is removed. Manufacturers paint, stamp, or coat it to look like natural grain. It is less durable and cracks over time.
Bonded Leather: This is the lowest tier. It uses leather scraps mixed with polyurethane or plastic and tends to peel apart.

I love this belts. So easy to adjust. And if u need it to be smaller you can always cut it with a scissor and place it back into the buckle.

This is the only style of belt I wear now. So I can stealthily let it out when I sit down. And it won't stretch out the belt loop. Game changer in comfort for a daily driver.

Not sure why this was down voted, this is exactly how it's done. See picture here on SD, "size mark" is a cut line.

Agree, I bought an EDC rated belt like this for a specific purpose, but ended up wearing it daily.
